Dear Residents,

We would like to make you aware that a burglary has recently occurred in the local area. Police investigations are ongoing, and we are encouraging all residents to remain vigilant and take extra precautions to protect their homes and vehicles.

Safety Advice for Your Home

✅ Always lock all doors and windows, even when you are at home.

✅ Ensure patio doors, garages, sheds, and side gates are secured.

✅ Keep house keys, car keys, and valuable items out of sight and away from doors and windows.

✅ Use security lighting, alarms, CCTV, or video doorbells where possible.

✅ Avoid advertising holidays or extended absences on social media.

✅ Ask a trusted neighbour to keep an eye on your property if you are away.

Safety Advice for Your Vehicle

✅ Always lock your vehicle and fully close all windows.

✅ Never leave keys, wallets, handbags, mobile phones, or valuables inside your vehicle.

✅ Park in well-lit areas whenever possible.

✅ Consider using steering wheel locks or other approved security devices.

✅ If your vehicle has keyless entry, keep keys in a signal-blocking pouch (Faraday pouch) when not in use.

Be Vigilant

🔹 Report any suspicious activity, unknown persons acting unusually, or vehicles repeatedly driving around the area.

🔹 If you witness a crime in progress or believe someone is in immediate danger, call 999.

🔹 For non-emergency matters or to report suspicious behaviour, contact Police on 101 or report online via the police website.
